Visit the beautiful region of Algarve, Portugal

We picked a quaint little port city on the coast of Algarve called Portimão, traditionally a centre for shipbuilding, sardine fishing and fish processing. Because business and travel don’t have to exclude each other. Our local partners will give you access to discounted hotel rates as well as local and international flights, wine tastings, local food experiences and more.

Accommodation

The main conference venue is Hotel Algarve Casino, located on Praia da Rocha beach and a 5-minute walk from Portimão Marina. It’s one of the oldest standing 5-star hotels in the Algarve, featuring 2 outdoor pools amid lush gardens, sauna, Turkish baths, a casino and elegant rooms each with its own unique design.

We’ve also partnered with a handful of other beautiful hotels in the area that fit all budgets.

Delegates will receive a travel pack with discounted rates from our hotel partners so purchase your pass today to reserve a seat. Delegate pass holders will also receive a discount on flights from our Official Carrier, TAP Portugal.

GETTING THERE

Portugal is a small country with a beautiful coastline. Whether you’re coming from Lisbon or Faro, and you can take a couple of additional days in the country, we highly recommend renting a car so you can drive around and explore the natural wonders the Algarve region has to offer, complete with white sand beaches, dramatic coastlines, sandy coves, and fishing villages.

Worry not though! You can still have a great experience if you opt for public transport. We selected a few options for you below.

If you’re flying into Portugal you have two options:

  1. Faro - 50 Km from Portimão

    • By train - approximatively 1.5h, depending on the selected train transfer. Cost: €6/€12 pp. If your selected date is not displaying any results yet, it might be too soon for the timetable to be scheduled. Please try again later.

    • By bus - between 2 and 2.5h, depending on the selected bus transfer. Cost: €5.13 or €5.75 (please note this bus leaves from Faro city, not from Faro Airport). If your selected date is not displaying any results yet, it might be too soon for the timetable to be scheduled. Please try again later.

    • By car - approximatively 45 minutes drive. An Uber X ride costs around €60-80

  2. Lisbon - 280 Km from Portimão

    • By train - anywhere between 3.5-4.5h, depending on the selected train transfer. Cost: €13.75 - €29,75 pp. We recommend taking the train from Oriente station, which is the nearest train station to the airport (10 minutes on the metro). From Oriente, the trip to Faro is approx. 3.5h. If your selected date is not displaying any results yet, it might be too soon for the timetable to be scheduled. Please try again later.

    • By bus - between 3.5h-4h, depending on the selected bus transfer. Cost: from €19 (please note this bus leaves from Lisbon - Oriente station, located 10 minutes away from the airport on the metro). If your selected date is not displaying any results yet, it might be too soon for the timetable to be scheduled. Please try again later.

    • By car - approximatively 2.5h drive. An Uber X ride costs around €250-300
